Hi! My name is Leah and I grew up in Fairfax, Va. I graduated from the University of Mary Washington in 2011. After graduation I worked in Washington, DC and until June of 2013, I had never spent more than two consecutive weeks outside of Virginia. Then I moved to Moldova – a country I had never heard of before my Peace Corps nomination arrived.
But the blog started before all that – during my birthright trip to Israel. This blog is about my physical travels as well as my mental ones. Hopefully this blog will offer you some insight into my experiences, life, Moldova or the world in general. Please feel free to offer any feedback, edits, comments, ect. I promise I will love hearing all of them and thanks for reading!
Hi Leah, I enjoy your blog a lot and I also write a blog myself – knowingmoldova.wordpress.com . Recently I decided to write a blog about websites and other blogs in Moldova. I would love to include your blog in that list but I didn’t want to do so without your permission. Could you leave me a comment on my blog if you don’t mind me to list your blog as one of the blogs in Moldova, please? I would really appreciate that! BTW, Happy Belated Birthday!

I am currently volunteering in Moldova working on project focused on institutionalized homes and orphanages in Moldova – http://www.tekedu.org.md.

Posted by bvbiblioteca | March 30, 2014, 8:54 pmHi Leah. You’ve got a great blog here! My name is Michelle, and I was one of the PC Blog It Home contest winners a couple years ago. I’d like to invite you to a six-week Blog Challenge I’m hosting to help PCVs “level up” their Third Goal blogs in the New Year. This is “phase one” for an online project I’m working on with the aim of helping bloggers to promote cross-cultural understanding. I’d be honored if you would visit my new site: http://BloggingAbroad.org, watch the video (or read the transcript if loading videos is a challenge), and sign up to join the adventure in blogging. Take care and happy blogging! Michelle
