This past week, I had my last day of work with the NGO I have worked at almost everyday for the last two years. This last day we went to a field day with most of the youth volunteers and some of the staff. The field day was going ok, until it started pouring rain and about then everything started falling apart.
To cut a long story short, I was pretty annoyed by the time we got back to the office for the pizza party and movie portion of the event. They convinced me to hang out longer than I was planning to, so they could show me this movie they made for me.
Watching this movie and giving the speech afterwards to my volunteers and co-workers, was the first time I cried from emotion of knowing that most of these people, especially the youth and I, are unlikely to cross paths again. The video they made me, is below:

The video made me cry too. I am blessed and honored to be her mother. Obviously I understand the force named Leah, and I am happy that you got to experience her energy as well.
Thank you Moldovans and PCVs for taking such good care of my little girl. It meant so much to meet many of you last year. It helped me understand Leah’s connection with Moldova.
I wish you the best life has to offer. If you are ever near Virginia, please know that you are welcome in our home.
