Exploring the 8th portal

A few weekends ago, myself and two other Peace Corps Volunteers, met a Moldovan friend to explore a new neighborhood in Balti. This neighborhood is about a 30 minute bus ride from the center of Balti, where I live.

Similar to many cities in the US, Balti has different sections with different names. The area of the city we were exploring is called the 8th Portal. It also happens to be the neighborhood where our Moldovan friend lives.

The neighborhood had a beautiful natural lake with boats and picnic tables. It also had a beautiful secret garden, in front of what used to be the Chief Bishop of Balti’s home, but is now his offices. It was a beautiful day and we all enjoyed exploring this new neighborhood.

About I think about that every day

I guess this blog will be a really long answer to the generic 'about me' question.
