New Office Opening

Last week my NGO, CASMED, moved to a new office. This office is about a fifteen minute walk from my apartment and is a lot bigger than our old offices, giving us the capacity to hold larger meetings or trainings in our office.

My partner told me that Monday there would be an official office opening, with the entire staff – we have a lot of nurses, doctors and social assistants who work mainly in the field, not in our office. As is traditional here, a priest came to bless the new offices and all of those involved. After the priest finished his blessing, we had a masa (celebratory meal), followed by a staff meeting.

About I think about that every day

I guess this blog will be a really long answer to the generic 'about me' question.
