Israel, Traveling

Golan Heights

We went on a Jeep tour climbing to the Golan Heights in the footsteps of IDF soldiers and their battles in the Six Day War. Enjoy the beautiful natural scenery, gain an insight into the strategic complexity of the Golan, listening to great stories from our guide and laughing at our trip-mate’s Jeep getting stuck in the mud.

After that adventure went for a walk through the Tel Dan Nature Reserve located on the largest tributary of the Jordan River and the Biblical settlement of Dan. Then we visted the Katzrin Olive Oil Press, where we learned about making olive oil, got a really interesting (and awesome) political talk from the owner about American politics and where I bought my parents some delicious gourmet olive oil and myself some olive oil bath products.

Note: They sell olive oil products from Israel in Whole Foods and they are incredible!!
